Wet Chemical Scrubber system

The packed bed scrubber is designed to remove malodours gaseous or vaporous pollutants from the air stream. It removes the pollutant gases by continuous monitoring pH level of the scrubbing/recirculated liquid and neutralizing it with the addition of wet chemicals.
The Scrubber’s operation is integrated by a PLC control panel, field instruments, valves, and air dampers, recirculation and chemical pumps, exhaust fans. Treated clean air will be discharged to the environment through a stack.

Scrubber Configruation

Local Control Panel with PLC

  • Vertical counter-current design where gas flows upwards & scrubbing liquid flows down.
  • Maximum scrubbing efficient with spray distribution via random packing.
  • Mist eliminator removes entrained liquids.
  • Clean air exits via top of the vessel.

Horizontal Cross flow Scrubbers

  • Scrubbing liquid flowing vertically downwards while the gas passes horizontally through the packing section.
  • Cross-flow configuration with high scrubbing efficiency.
  • Alternative site installation with height constraint.
  • Clean air exits via one side of the vessel.

Wet Chemical Scrubber system

  • System engineering design

  • Site installation (equipment hoisting, moving, positioning)
  • Site acceptance test
  • Authority submission (NEA)
  • System Performance Test (pollutant removal efficiency test)
  • O&M documentation
  • System preventive maintenance
